A lot of these garages were framed for a single-panel door hung on loose overhead track, with a spring bar bolted straight to the header. That header wasn't built to carry the load a modern torsion spring puts on it, and when a homeowner bolts on a new door without checking the frame, the whole jamb starts to rack.
Crestline's houses average 1956 construction, right in the middle of the wider service area's 1938-to-1983 build window. At that age, the header framing is often undersized by today's standard, and the track brackets were set for a lighter door than what's sold now. Installing a new door here means checking that framing first, not just swapping panels.
